AXA Health: World’s Healthiest Campus by Woodalls Design

A state-of-the-art new ways of working campus, covering an impressive 120,000 sqft, was developed with a focus on achieving next-level sustainability (BREEAM Excellent), accessibility, and ESG principles.

The brief for the project was to prioritize sustainability, wellbeing and reflect the brand's commitment to health. The process involved collaboration between the client, designers, and construction team.
It will have BREEAM Excellent certification, aligning all materials with outstanding environmental standards and implementing efficient energy, water, and waste management systems.
The existing gas boilers were removed and replaced with a chilled ceiling system to reduce the building's carbon footprint significantly. The building delivers 12 litres per second of filtered and healthy air per person, while the typical office is approximately 8 litres per second per person.
Circularity was promoted by reusing 45% of existing furniture from different offices.
Biophilic elements, such as nature-patterned carpet tiles, acoustic panels resembling branches or honeybee combs, and a nature-inspired colour palette, were incorporated throughout the space.
