Wolters Kluwer | Canary Wharf

Location: Canary Wharf, London

A world-class design solution was required to carry the confidence of various UK business units and promote cohesive working in a single new London flagship headquarters.

Having identified Docklands as a key location to pull together its London businesses, Wolters Kluwer were able to secure space high up on the 41st floor of 25 Canada Square in the heart of the Canary Wharf estate.

Woodalls used a carefully managed programme of design workshops to intelligently engage with heads of business in London and the global real estate team – bringing together a coherent scheme that tempered latest materials and design thinking with the dependable, trusted Wolters Kluwer brand values.

The calibre of the Woodalls scheme and the way it maximises the stunning views and excellent natural light, creates a new global standard for Wolters Kluwer. Enhancing the way it presents itself to its financial clients, staff and stakeholders.

A sequence of executive offices and meeting spaces were created around the perimeter of the floor, with full-height glazed panels dispersing natural light throughout the space and giving stunning views of the Thames and central London. Feature lighting and a formal reception space create an immediate impact and lead on to the carefully managed open plan areas, with zones for quiet working and informal meetings.

Clever reconfiguration of existing partitions and materials ensured cost-effective delivery of the construction phase, well ahead of schedule.
